BOARD DEVELOPMENT
Mission:
Drag Artists for Expression NYC produces storytelling and creative arts programs for children and teens, presented by local drag artists, in libraries, schools, and other community spaces in all five boroughs of New York City, and virtually. Through fun and fabulous educational experiences, our programs celebrate gender diversity and all forms of difference to build empathy and give kids the confidence to express themselves however they feel comfortable.
About DAE NYC:
Drag Artists for Expression NYC (formerly Drag Story Hour NYC) was the first registered nonprofit organization that began bringing our storytime events and joy-filled programming to communities across New York City. We became a not-for-profit in 2017 and since then have been able to provide our five boroughs with over 1,000 storytime workshops, serving over 25,000 people. We build self-acceptance, inclusivity, and celebrate gender diversity.
